This info has been taken from elsewhere and isnt my work, but i thought it was usefull info and worth a mention

Info on shotgun slugs

I have seen people talking about the shotgun slugs, saying to just equip a shotgun with no perks. That is incorrect.
The glitch to get shotgun slugs is actually to select a Red Dot Scope on another kit, then select shotgun with no spec selected on the slot you select the red dot scope. You can use use/change the other slots.

Slugs are bugged right now, you don't get the proper crosshair. When you right click they should go into a + sign like the tracer dart. Right now however, the cross-hair just goes away.


SOME EXTRA INFORMATION:

Normal walk speed is 4m/s, sprinting is 6m/s, and sprinting with the lightweight spec on is 6.6m/s.

Throwing a grenade takes 2 seconds. Throwing a med/ammo-pack takes 1.5 seconds. Knifing takes 1.5 seconds.

Shock Paddles have a 3.1 cool-down between use.

It takes 8.5 seconds before the repair tool overheats. You have to wait 4 seconds for it to work again.

From the time you begin to call in a missile with the UAV, there is a 25 second cool-down until you can call another missile.

This is based off testing in game and the following values from the games weapon files.

Sniper TrailEffectVelocityScale 1
Assualt TrailEffectVelocityScale 0.75
LMG TrailEffectVelocityScale 0.75
SMG TrailEffectVelocityScale 0.5
Pistol TrailEffectVelocityScale 0.5


I was getting confusing results trying to determine bullet velocity until I remembered seeing this value, and starting keeping two sets of data. One based on when the tracer disappeared, and one based on when I saw the a flash/smoke on the target.

To get the actual values I first got the games minimap image out of the game files. Then I tracer darted the X312 that is behind the Apache. Flew the Apache to the sniper hill at the beginning of them map, got out and locked onto the X312. 620 meters. Then I checked the map and that distance was 1240 meters. 2 pixels per meter. Checked distances to a number of objects in the world and started shooting them with several guns.

On bullet drop:

When testing bullet velocity at long range, I noticed that most guns have very very little bullet drop.

MP443 firing at 305 meters, 0 bullet drop.
PKM has approximately 40% of the m24s bullet drop.

hopefully some of these stats might change a tad, playing engineer atm and it seems pretty pointless unlocking the next sub (SCAR) as the stats are almost identical, apart from the bigger clip size and slower reload :S

The ps3 beta -> Demo changed a lot I've been told. They have already annonced a lot of changes for the release that didn't make it into the beta. So chances are some of it will change.
