Released: 19 February 2010

By way of a quick post, who is getting this game?

Here is the quick review from Play:

"In the all-new Aliens vs. Predator players will have the chance to take the role of the three infamous species; the Colonial Marine, the Predator and the Alien. Each of the three species has its very own distinct story-driven single-player campaign mode that interweaves with the campaigns of the other two species. Aliens vs. Predator will also feature unique 3-way online multiplayer, allowing gamers to pit the three species against each other in the ultimate battle for survival and for the right to be crowned the deadliest species.

On planet BG-386 a colonist mining group discovers an ancient pyramid containing a dark and horrible secret. Across the stars a race of warriors is alerted to the discovery of their pyramid and a hunting party is dispatched to ensure that it remains sealed at all costs, whilst deep inside the ruined pyramid a malevolent intelligence awakes from centuries of dormancy."

Cheapest is £17.99 from Play HERE where you get a unlock key for pre-ordering (in otherwords bribery) which is for online gaming of either Predator Skin, Marine Skin, and Alien Skin. Steam sells this game also for usual high-ish price of £24.99 HERE but includes the RTS Universe at War: Earth Assault.

Yeah, I'm getting it. Looks fun and different. I like both the Alien and Predator series so I'll take a chance on this one. You can also get the original 2000 game for 3 bucks on steam.

I've got the original game in a box somewhere. It came in those cheap CD cases unlike todays DVDs cases which are just as cheap but not so difficult to locate.

Not sure if its worth playing it again or if it would even work on Vista x64 whereas Steam says it does but its really just a re-release. Don't know why they didn't just do a remake with the new engine like Croteam did with Serious Sam HD or Valve did with Half-Life: Source. Saying that, it took them long enough to do unless this is a stopgap measure.

I gave A v P MP demo a brief shot & didn't even get a kill as a marine - damn bullets are probably doing 1% damage. Probably need to level up - somehow - then I can be an Alien/Predator.

Look forward to the SP videos getting posted on release.
